Join a web event discussing the issues

Results from Europa Uomo’s EUPROMS quality of life study will be the focus of discussion at a webinar for the general public, organised by the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC).

The free online event will ask the question: “Are we measuring the quality of life of prostate cancer patients effectively?” The results of the EUPROMS study are particularly relevant because it was the first major prostate quality of life survey conducted by patients themselves, outside the clinical environment.

“The purpose of this webinar, which will take place during the Movember campaign, is to raise awareness about prostate cancer and the importance of international academic research,” says EORTC. “Europa Uomo survey results indicate that any treatment apart from active surveillance may negatively affect quality of life, and that for many men these effects may be greater than previously thought.”

The subject is of particular importance to EORTC because it developed some of the validated questionnaires used to evaluate quality of life in prostate cancer patients.

The webinar will be held at 12.30pm (Brussels time) on 5th November. To attend, you must register beforehand. Go to the webinar website
