New prostate patient cancer patients organisations from European countries admitted at General Assembly

Europa Uomo has welcomed four new full members to its international family, bringing the total number of its member organisations to 31. They are the organisations representing prostate cancer patient organisations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, and Serbia.

The Europa Uomo General Assembly delegates admitted the new members at their meeting in Helsinki, Finland.

In addition, they voted to admit the Maltese association as an associate member, with a view to future full membership.

The organisations admitted are:

  • The Association of Prostate Cancer Patients of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UORP FBiH)
  • The Croatian Society of Prostate Cancer Patients (HDBRP)
  • The Panhellenic Association for Prostate Cancer (Europa Uomo Hellas)
  • Centar za Muskarce/Men’s Centre, Serbia (BRKA)
  • Malta Male Cancer Support Association (MMCSA)

Europa Uomo Chairman Guenther Carl welcomed the new members, saying that it was important that Europa Uomo was seen to represent prostate cancer patients across Europe. “You will help us increase the impact that we have – with the European Union, with urologists across Europe and with potential funders,” he said.
