Europa Uomo is known for organizing a summer school to train patients with prostate cancer to become “expert patients”. These patients have an extensive knowledge of the disease and can help fellow patients to make informed decisions on their treatment.

To help fellow patients in “shared decision making (SDM)” expert patients could benefit of more training to become “Expert patient advocates”.

This winter the” Europa Uomo Academy” is thus organizing its first “winter school” to train patients to become patient advocates.

Take part in a run to be held in Berlin 8-10am on 17 October on the occasion of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress. It will be held at the TSV GutsMuths running track, with good links to the Congress venue. You can run or walk around the track as much as you feel up to. Register here.
