A review of prostate cancer in JAMA

In the article ‘Prostate Cancer. A Review‘, published in the prestigious America medical journal JAMA, the authors say that prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide with almost 1,466,680 new cases and 396,792 deaths in 2022. Adenocarcinoma is the most common type of prostate cancer, responsible for  99% of cases, and the average age at diagnosis is 67 years.

First results of our EU-PRESS study on Shared-Decision Making

We hope that you have seen our article on the first results from our survey on shared decision making in our previous Update.

The Europa Uomo Patient Reported Shared decision making Study (EU-PRESS) has concluded that the more men are involved in decisions about their prostate cancer, the better their resulting quality of life. The research also found that shared decision-making results in men having fewer regrets about decisions made.

The Patient Centered Solutions team at IQVIA compîled a new book entitled ‘Patient-centricity in the Biopharmaceutical Industry: Are We Nearly There Yet?’
