Collection of articles from nuclear medicine conference
The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) has published the Hamburg Collection, a set of eight articles capturing essential themes presented at their last EANM Congress. Europa Uomo’s Vice Chairman Erik Briers was one of the speakers.
One article explains radioligand therapy, a type of treatment given to enhance quality of life and survival especially in cases of castration-resistant prostate cancer that has spread to the bone.
One novel radioligand therapy, 68GA-PSMA-11/CT, specifically binds to PSMA (PSMA-ligands).
Articles also cover the need for PSMA-PET for radiation oncology and the way that theranostics (Lutetium) is bringing prostate cancer patients new hope.
